The Club was formed in  Nov 2010
Thanks to everyone who came out to support
& participate in our

FIRST OPEN MEETING OF THE
MID ISLAND BLUEGRASS SOCIETY
 
Sunday, Feb 13th, 2011 12:00 noon.
   at Lighthouse Community Hall
   in Qualicum Bay, off the Old Island Hwy across from the Sand Bar
Meeting open to members and potential members
Topics covered were the Lighthouse Bluegrass Festival
Fund raising Dance(s) and the Canada Day Music Market/ Pancake Breakfast
A Jam Session followed the meeting.  











 





 
Approx count... 
    2 Bass, 2 banjos, 2 fiddles, 10
guitars, 3 mandolins, & 1 ukulele, 
       Lots of strong voices rounded out the sound led by Luann and Sharon


The open stage mic from 10am to noon was hosted by
Island Blue Rose.   Nice variety of music up there on stage!

  Pancake Breakfast ($7)  and Flea Market   8am to 12pm
  Outdoor Farmer's Market and Chicken Swap 10am to noon
